Not to be missed! Lagos Grotto Trips takes you to see the Benagil caves, located between Praia do Carvoeiro and Armação de Pêra and placed on the top 10 list of the most famous caves in Europe!
We leave Lagos Marina, passing by Alvor, Portimão and Carvoeiro, enjoying the view of beautiful beaches and the Algarve coastline. We will first visit the caves of Carvoeiro and finally, the most famous caves of the world – Algar de Benagil.
The caves are truly amazing with its clear water and rock formations of unparalleled beauty, an experience that will create memories for life!
Our trip takes place in a 18-seater boat (RIB) on padded benches providing genuine comfort during the trip.

We advise our clients to bring water, wear a hat or a cap, use sunscreen and on windy days bring a windbreaker jacket.
We are not responsible for loss or damage of personal objects.
Not suitable for people with back problems, for pregnant women or children under 6 years old.
On this trip it is not possible to get off the boat or stop for a swim.
If adherence is low and the number of passengers not enough, the trip can be cancelled or rescheduled for another date.
Meeting point & Departure
The meeting points are as follows:
- Fourth stand next to the pedestrian bridge of Marina de Lagos in front of Lagos Avenida Hotel
- If it is not possible to checkin at the above stand, the meeting point will be in the Marina de Lagos at the gate “Passeios de Barco/Boat Trips” in front of Amuras Bar, 15 minutes before departure.
- We have white t-shirts with lime green stripes on the side and the inscription LAGOS GROTTO TRIPS on the back and front.
Please come to the meeting points and check in 15 minutes before your tour starts/departure time.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations less than 24 hours before departure will not be refunded.
For cancellations longer than 24 hours, refunds will be made in full.
If the activity is conditioned by bad weather and the sea is too rough, the trip can be cancelled with a full refund or change of date.
